As a former journalist, I want to be transparent about my current role, status and working relationship in the industry.

Over the years I have been a consultant to many companies within the real estate mortgage ecosystem. These include banks, AMCs, government agencies and technology companies, including an AVM model company. In all cases, and by design, none of my compensation has ever been dependent on commission or results. I have no equity in any company I have consulted for, nor have I been promised any. This includes a former client, Quantarium, one of the leading AVM companies in the US, from which I have now disengaged as a consultant.  

In my work as Sennott Consulting, I advocate only for fairness and transparency and using a truly independent determination of the best valuation products and the best AVM models using third-party independent testing.

To me, AVMetrics is the only truly independent AVM model testing company in the US. For the record, since people have asked, I am not employed and have never been employed or acted as a paid consultant by AVMetrics in any capacity or offered any stock compensation by AVMetrics and would not accept any.

If my status changes in such a way as to present any direct or indirect conflict with any of my clients, I will be transparent about that here on my website.
